Currenci87 Drops Summer Banger entitled “Road A Swing”

Fast-rising deejay Currenci87 has earned the nod of approval from many musical pundits with the release of his catchy new single entitled “Road A Swing”. The song, which has a summer vibe based on the groove of the beat and the flow used, has been catapulted onto mainstream radio and has been making the rounds on social media. According to the artiste, his unique blend of the early 90s to the early 2000s style of music is what makes him stand out.

“I blend the 90s sound with the 2000s which gives me a edge because the international market accepts that sound as dancehall. I respect artists like Massicka and others who still pay homage to the original sound. Road A Swing is a melting pot of different flows on a very smooth beat so I am expecting it to continue doing well locally and internationally” stated Currenci87.

Born Demoy Forbes, the Annotto Bay St. Mary native grew up listening to the sounds of Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Capleton and Sizzla. Those musical influences were the springboard for his musical entry which reached its first peak in 2016 when Currenci87 dominated the stage at “St. Mary Mi Come From ” which opened many musical doors for him.

“One of my proudest moments in music was the first time I graced the stage at St. Mary Mi Come From in 2016 because as a youth weh forward from St. Mary me always a dream about performing in front my people and the reception was overwhelming. That moment gave me the drive to take music seriously” stated Currenci87.

Currently, Currenci87 is busy in studio working with Andrew Hewitt Productions, Reel J Records, as well as several other top-flight producers.
