Fast rising reggae artiste Lee Dann has many reasons to smile at present considering the fact that he has a buzzing single, two amazing children and a thriving farm. The St. Ann-based artiste may just be on the verge of his musical breakthrough however he went viral on the internet for his amazing efforts as a single father of two daughters who are excelling academically.
“I am known in the streets as the viral father because my story went viral a few years ago because people loved the fact that I take great pride in taking care of my kids and the fact I have been doing it as a single father touched the hearts of the people” stated Lee Dann.
Born Dennis Cunningham the lyrically potent entertainer says music has been his therapy and passion from a tender age. The artiste used music to provide a mental and emotional escape from the harsh realities of growing up poor in rural St. Ann where he shared a one-bedroom dwelling with his parents and eight siblings.
Lee Dann credits his parents and life struggles for his present mindset which allows him to take pride in being both a positive artiste, parent and person.
“I may have grew up poor in terms of material possessions however when it comes to love, morals and ambition I am blessed. My parents are hardworking and loving people so when I became an artiste I knew I had to cognisant of what I put forward to the ears of my children and the universe which is why I keep my music inspirational and critical of social injustice” stated Lee Dann.
The artiste says crime and violence can be reduced significantly if parents get it right at home and if corruption critical sectors is reduced. He is currently promoting his social commentary single entitled Step Down which has been gaining traction locally and internationally.
