Now that he has a new management team in place and a tainted past firmly behind him, reggae artist Teflon, has vowed to the public that he will be producing an ample of quality music in his bid to regain local dominance.

The St Mary-born reggae act has been widely accused in the past for being unapproachable and anti-social but with a new management team in place; the hardcore lyricist believes it’s now time for him and his crew to change the public perception. He also recently signed to Mad Vibez Entertainment and Digital One Production, who is now in charge of reshaping his career and both parties, believe that it is the start of something magical as both groups are ready to put in the hard work.

“When we came together, we all understood what is needed to be done. We sat, talk and everyone came to a mutual understanding that there’s a perception out there and it needed to be change,” said Richard Roache, of Digital One Productions.

Since the start of the year, Teflon has recorded several singles including Fire Is Burning, It’s Alright, Best Out, Loving Oh Yea And Never Regret a day in Life, which are set to be release this year. Teflon admitted that there was an Identity crisis between him and the public, but never before had he ill-treated someone.“Nuff people used to say Teflon unapproachable and dem never talk to me before. Most people just assume things, because every youth weh come round wi, wi try fi give dem di best advice and treatment”, he said.

For now it is all about positivity within Teflon’s camp. He also recently wrapped up a successful European tour, which he said was one of his most memorable experiences. ”we chose Teflon because of his talent, No one questions if Teflon is a talented artist, it’s just the bad perception out there about the artist, and that what we are here for, to guide his career on the right path” said Madness (Michael Thompson) of Madvibez Entertainment.

Teflon, known for his fiery stage performances, said he will not change his musical style and fans can expect to hear more from him in the near future. “No mi nah go change mi style, a dat mek Jamaica know Teflon so how mi fi change it? Only thing the fans dem must expect is more quality work,” he said.
