Sanjay Release New Single Exclusively to Fans on Facebook

Kingston, Jamaica: Popular Jamaican Reggae-Dancehall Fusion artiste Sanjay, has a hot new single which is to be released on Monday, August 1 exclusively to his fans on facebook. The single “The Harder They Fall” is a remake/remix of Jimmy Cliff’s 1972 hit song “The Harder They Come.”

The artiste decided to release the track on facebook to get all his fans and followers more involved in the making of his music. Sanjay says, “The fans are one of the main reasons musicians make music. Who better to get the approval of than them? I believe that giving them (the fans) first preference in terms of liking or rating the song, though unconventional, is a very good way to go.”

The utilization of social media as a marketing tool is a new wave for Jamaican musicians and artistes to get their music out to the world. Artistes have been using social media to get their music out to their fans worldwide and Sanjay is no different. “Using social media to get music out there breaks down the boundaries of waiting for your songs to cross over into another market. The internet is so wonderful that all you have to do is upload and save, and your music is able to reach people all over the world,” says an excited Sanjay.
