Teens Get Spot To VENT…through DANCE!

Saturday, April 10th, is going to be an exciting day for teens everywhere. At the Lime Golf Academy in New Kingston, they will have their chance to VENT through dance.

JADAZ Productions in association with Trade Winds Citrus present the Freshhh VENT, White & Jeans Teens’ Dance Party for teenagers between 13-19 years. The ultimate dance party, for teenagers, will be a literal six hours of “Holiday-ing.”

From 4pm to 10pm, full of positive musical vibrations, teenagers will have their designated spot to socialize, in a non-alcoholic, non-smoking, safe and secure environment. The Lime venue promises an air-conditioned VENT Chill area, for lyming, relaxing, eating and just chilling, as teenagers are given the opportunity to release all tensions in a healthy environment – just dancing the hours away.

What’s more QQ is slated to make a special appearance, and, five lucky teenagers will win the chance to lyme with him.

Freshhh VENT is confirmed to happen three times this year. After the April 10 staging, the other two will be held in Summer and Christmas. On each occasion it will be held notably when high schools close for the holidays.

For the first Freshhh VENT, organisers will feature radio appropriate popular music from genres such as Dancehall, Reggae, R&B and Hip Hop, which is teen-friendly with clean lyrics. JADAZ Productions will also seek out, promote and popularise new or unique musical forms from all over the world, as a fresh angle on teenage entertainment.

The dance floor of the Lime venue will be dazzled with sparkling and colourful disco lights. The grounds will be furnished with two (2) multimedia screens, for the young energy gods and goddesses to watch themselves, dancing or not, in addition to watching their favourite music videos.

Two popular disc jockeys, Zip 103’s DJ Chrome and music video mixing, DJ Chris will be given the mantle to deliver lyrically-clean musical selections.

Well-known RETV hostess, Lady Rennae will emcee the evening’s activities. Activities will include a Fashion Show, featuring the CooYah Clothing Line (the official clothing line for Freshhh VENT). There will also be prizes awarded for a Dance Off competition, and the teenager donning the Best White and Jeans outfit.

The Freshhh VENT trio is the brainchild of JADAZ Productions owner, Alisia Lawson. JADAZ Productions is just a few months old as an event planning and entertainment marketing company.
As a parent of five, three of them being young teenagers, Ms. Lawson was inspired by the need for teenagers to have somewhere to “dance and party in a non-smoking, alcohol-free, safe environment, also void of lewd music.”

While few parents may linger, “their role will be reduced to being observers” Lawson says, as she fully understands the need for teenagers to exercise their rights to ‘vent within their own space, yet responsibly.”
