Billboard Producer “Sarge” Cops The Top Prize

If one was to meet this billboard producer and mixing engineer his unassuming personality would camouflage his immaculate musical catalog. It may come as a surprise to many that It was the magical fingers of Jahvon “Sarge” Lothian that mixed and mastered Alkaline’s Top Prize Album which topped the Billboard chart. But according to Sarge, he has also worked with the likes of Bounty Killer, Masicka, Teejay, Chronic Law, Gyptian, Jahshii, Yeshwa, Tommy Lee Sparta and many others.

“Every artiste and producer know Sarge however due to the great demand for my work I have not had the time to do as many interviews and dem ting deh fi mek di average person know my face and name. Me a fix dat this year cause Inna real life I have played a major part in creating some of the biggest hits ever in dancehall,” stated Sarge.

The Portmore St. Catherine native says he is from a musical family and sincerely has a passion for music production. He also outlines that his mastery of frequencies and his keen ear gives him an edge over the typical producer.

“When you love what you do for a living you get better naturally and at a faster rate than the average person because you will always find ways to better your craft. From day one I decided to learn all aspects of production and that is paying off now because I am in great demand as a producer, mixing engineer and musician which means multiple streams of revenue. This is why I always encourage young producers to broaden their skill set” stated Sarge.

Currently, Sarge is busy in the studio working with a plethora of established and upcoming artists under his Zen Nation label including Worl Bank and Yeshwa.
