GUYANA LIFTS BAN ON MAVADO
GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) - Guyana has lifted a ban on Jamaican reggae artiste Mavado and will allow him to perform in the South American country later this month. Presidential Adviser Odigna Lumumba says the singer had been barred for a year and a half because of lyrics promoting gang violence and anti-gay sentiments.
