D'Angel for Miss Teen Portmore pageant

Female deejay Michelle ‘D’Angel’ Downer, a popular figure on the entertainment scene in Jamaica, will make a special guest appearance at the grand coronation show of the Burger King Miss Teen Portmore 2008 pageant.

D’Angel is the estrange wife of top dancehall deejay Beenie Man, and got her first big break when she was called on stage by him at Sting at Jamworld, Portmore in December 2006.

The female artiste has done songs such as Uptown girl, Blaze, and Baby Father, featuring Vybz Kartel.

The pageant was originally set for last Sunday, August 31, but the effects of Tropical Storm Gustav forced the organisers to postpone the event until Sunday, September 14.

Another major sponsor of the event is Love TV, which will be telecasting live images from the show to the viewing public.
