Dr. Dre’s 20-year-old son died of an overdose of heroin and morphine in August, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

According to Reuters, the coroner ruled the death of Andre Young Jr an accidental overdose, after the results of toxicology and other tests came in this week.

The young son of the super producer was found dead at his home in Woodland Hills, California in August. He had come in from a night out at around 5:30 a.m. When his mother went into his room to check on him later that morning, he was unresponsive.

She dialed 911, and when help arrived, efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the time of the death, a spokesperson for Dre released this statement: “Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son Andre Young Jr. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
