Young Money emcee Drake recently teamed up with MTV to release the documentary “Drake: Better Than Good Enough” to give fans a behind the scenes glimpse of the journey he took to create his debut album, Thank Me Later.

“It was important for me to take my fans on this journey to show them what it takes for me to give them me through music,” Drake said in the documentary. “It was important for me to do this for [the fans] to see, so that we can get to know each other better.”

Thank Me Later, which almost reached gold status despite the leak, was completely written in the Canadian emcee’s Blackberry. According to Drake, he can’t use a pen and pad to create.

“It’s something about a Blackberry, I can’t use anything else,” Drake said. “I can’t write rhymes with a pen and a pad, it’s something about the Blackberry keys that makes it feel like my fingers were made for it.”
