For those waiting for a new Jay-Z album, there’s the upcoming collaborative project with Kanye West, but there’s still no release date. However, a Hov compilation album is on the way.
According to TheBoomBox.com, the upcoming album is titled The Hits Collection – Vol. 1, and will include some of the superstar rapper’s greatest hits … and five previously unreleased songs.
The compilation will be sold in both CD and vinyl formats, along with deluxe and collector’s edition box sets.
The deluxe edition boasts two CDs, featuring five new, unreleased tracks, and a 32-page mini book embossed with the Roc diamond, while the collector’s edition box set includes a 100-page coffee table book replete with never-before-seen photos of Jay-Z taken throughout his storied career.
The Hits Collection – Vol. 1 is slated to drop November 22nd, the same date other big releases are scheduled for — including Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday, among others.
