The 23-year-old singjay, whose real name is O’Keefe Aaron, of Cheapside district in the parish was arrested and charged by the Junction police on Wednesday, May 27, following an incident between himself and a policeman.

It is alleged that about 6:25 p.m. on the day in question, a friend of the entertainer was having a conversation with a female student of a prominent high school in the parish when the policeman approached her, asked her what she was doing on the street in uniform at that time of the evening, and ordered her to go home.

It is further alleged that Laden, who was standing nearby, heard and intervened and told the student not to go anywhere.

An argument developed between Laden and the lawman, who is a sergeant, and it was reported that the artiste began using expletives and shortly after was accosted and taken into custody, where he spend the night.

The following day, his lawyer turned up at the police station and he was offered $20,000 bail.

Laden came to prominence about three years ago after appearing on the Digicel Rising Stars show.
