The Kiwanis Club of North St. Andrew is teaming up with Cuddy’z Sport Bar & Restaurant to stage ‘RETROFete2011’, the back-in-the-day ‘fun-raising’ dance party scheduled for Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the Cuddy’z Sport Bar & Restaurant in New Kingston. Patrons are invited to dress as retro as they dare to win some of the many spot prizes on offer. The retro-themed party gets underway at 8pm, with food and drink specials up to 10 pm. Party-goers can then dance the night away till the sun comes up on Emancipation day on the remodeled outdoor deck or indoor dance floor.

Coordinated by past president Norman Wright and public relations committee chairman Clement Forrester, RETROFete2011 has as its drawing card two of the most popular and experienced retro disk jockeys on the turntables, MixMaster Marvin from FAME FM and Stokey Love from Kool97FM. They promise the very best in ‘vibez’ and entertainment, serving up nothing but the biggest hits of yesteryear to a mix of the young, the young at heart, and those out to “show the young ‘uns how we used to do it”. RETROFete2011 will also be the party that ‘christens’ the remodeled deck used as the outdoor dance floor. Cuddy’z plays a big part by hosting the party as part of their charity initiative.
