Rappers Turn Waiters For Charity At Doug E. Fresh’s Harlem Chicken & Waffles Joint

In honor of breast cancer, The Kangol Kid from legendary rap group UTFO enlisted rappers to wait tables at Doug E. Fresh’s Chicken & Waffles joint yesterday. Kangol lost his friend and manager Shaunda Lumpkin’s mom to breast cancer and started the Mama Luke Movement.

“I can’t sit and not do anything. You’re either going to talk the talk or walk the walk. I’ve always walked the walk…This feels like I’m part of the solution,” said Kangol.

Other supporters that served customers with the proceeds going towards the movement were Lady Luck, Joe Ski Love, Dinco D of Leaders of The New School, Rahiem of The Furious 5, Bowlegged Lou of Full Force and Roxanne Shante.
