Another week and yet another rapper is headed to prison.

Willie D of The Geto Boys plead guilty yesterday November 2, to wire fraud and received a sentence of one year and a day in prison.

The Houston MC was originally arrested in May 2009.

The case stems from a scam in which Willie used eBay to defraud customers out of money with a bogus phone company named Texas One Wireless. Customers would wire the company money for iPhones. In return they would get a fake tracking number and never receive the phones.

Willie, born William James Dennis was a part of the Geto Boys along with Bushwick Bill and Scarface, when the group shot to fame, propelled by the hit single “Mind Playing Tricks On Me.”

He will have to pay $197,087.17 in restitution to the 35 people he conned. Willie faced a maximum of 20 years and a $250,000 fine, but got a lesser sentence by pleading guilty to 15 counts. He is currently free on bond pending a federal prison being found for him.
